Bournemouth Rugby Football Club
If you relish the chance to enjoy a connection
and support local community sport with an old-established
and prestigious south coast club, while taking full advantage
of its great commercial potential, then Bournemouth RFC
is your next port of call. The club offers superb potential
for advertisers, sponsors and club partners alike.
The club was established in 1883. A hundred
years later, in 1989, it moved to its present ground at
Chapel Gate. After Mini Rugby was started in 1976, the
club developed an extremely successful Youth and Mini Section.
This has fed what used to be known as the Colts, which
in turn has funnelled a large number of players into the
Bournemouth RFC 1st XV. A notable success of this programme
in the last decade is Andy Long, who captained England
U21s and went on to play for the England senior squad.
In the same period, four players from Bournemouth RFC have
represented England at one level or another. Bournemouth
RFC are coached by the ex Samoan international and Gloucester
No 8 Junior Paramore and the ex Gloucester and Sale Centre
Robert Todd currently run 4 senior sides with the first
XV playing in National League Division 3 South West. In
the 2008/2009 season they finished a very creditable third
and look forward to further improvement in the coming season. | |

Well used facilities
ournemouth RFC play at the 65 acre Chapel
Gate site which is next to Bournemouth Airport and is the home
of Bournemouth Sports Club. The Sports Club is used for archery,
cricket, football, hockey, squash and table tennis as well
as rugby and consequently the Clubhouse and external facilities
are used by over 3500 people every week. As a result, club
partners can target over 14,000 people per month for twelve
months of the year (not just during the rugby season). This
ensures maximum opportunities for direct-marketing exposure,
increased brand awareness and a measurable return on partners’ involvement.
Substantial additional numbers are attracted to the site for
one off sporting events which include archery tournaments,
junior football tournaments and the largest hockey festival
held in the UK which is held every Easter.
The clubhouse facilities are used weekly for business meetings,
conferences, wedding receptions and social events plus major
events such as the Bournemouth Sevens, which has become an
internationally renowned event.
