Redingensians RFC – Reading’s Premier Rugby Club!

A great media opportunity beckons for potential advertisers, sponsors and club partners at Redingensians RFC, a hugely respected and well established club in the heart of the Thames Valley.

Founded in 1924 as an old boys’ club for Reading School, the Club became ‘open’ in 1969 and has continued to expand and welcome new members ever since.

In 1994 the past Club Captain, Dennis Easby, was elected President of the Rugby Football Union. Dennis had negotiated the purchase of the Club's present headquarters at Sonning back in 1950, buying the ground on behalf of the Old Boys' Council of Reading School.

The Club’s junior section is flourishing and produces players of high calibre. In the 2008/2009 season two juniors played in the England SW squad and one in the Scottish Exiles.

Great facilities – widely used

The clubhouse is used by over 2,000 people every week. It is open seven days a week for social members and hosts at least one social event per month. As a result, club partners can target over 8,000 people per month, twelve months per annum (not just during the rugby season), and ensuring maximum direct-marking exposure opportunities increasing brand awareness and enjoying a measureable return for their involvement.

Non-rugby activities attract substantial numbers of additional people to the site, from football training to major cricket club events. Companies also use the facilities from time to time for training, networking, conferences and seminars.
