It is estimated that the total number of people passing
the club or using its facilities is around 100,000 per

The club’s fortnightly crowd
attendances average 1000 for 1st XV home games and are
capable of reaching close to 1600 for major fixtures
(the largest crowd ever recorded was 3000 for the match
between Esher and Northampton in the 2007/08 season).
On the 1st XV pitch, there are also around five 2nd XV
fixtures, five International Women’s
fixtures, up to five Junior/Girls fixtures, one or two
charity games and approximately eight Citileague fixtures.
Sunday attendance (Minis and Juniors) can reach 350 in
the morning and 250 in the afternoon, while the club’s
Mini Festival attracts over 1200 people.

History of Esher Rugby Football Club
In
1923, four rugby enthusiasts met in a pub and decided
to form a rugby club. One of them, a Welshman, insisted
that the club should adopt his native Welsh club's
colours, the Black and Amber of Newport.
